More neighborhood involvement came about
with the
West
End Median Mulching & Planting Project when 11 members of the West End
Neighborhood Association scheduled weekends to mulch and plant the south
median along West End
Avenue
between Marquard and Greenfield.

They totaled 30 hours, valued at $585. According to Sharlene Moss of the
Association, the project has been a continuing success by keeping out
the weeds that normally grow in the median, and neighbors, as well as
passing cyclists, have made many positive comments on the area’s
improved appearance.
