VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR’S CORNER (1/4/07)

Welcome to the City of San Rafael Volunteer Program web site. This web site, like most other cutting edge programs in this and many other communities, was created through a volunteer effort. The majority of the work that went into the site was done by a sole volunteer, Gene Ness, with input from other volunteers and community members. 

This is an exciting time for the Volunteer Program as we continue collaborating with neighborhood groups, community programs and businesses to address critical needs in our community. Some of these issues have to do with litter, waste reduction, reuse and recycling efforts, and disaster preparedness. Take a spin around www.sanrafaelvolunteers.org and see for yourself. Our intent is to encourage more participation in the Volunteer Program within City departments, and through our community projects and partnerships. Would you like to help out in some way?
