Since the first city-wide Clean-up and Beautification Day on May 11, 1996, Laura Kershaw was a constant presence each year organizing and hosting the Santa Margarita Neighborhood Association’s volunteer sign-up table. She had served as board member of the Santa Margarita Neighborhood Association; she contributed many hours of her time, as well as valuable insight and a cheerful attitude.

For over ten years, Laura had volunteered for the Terra Linda Orcas Swim Team and Board, making hundreds of phone calls and motivating others while providing an example of civic participation to everyone with whom she has worked.  Laura was a shining example of community volunteerism, and a pleasure to know and be around. She was friendly, gracious, effective and had a can-do attitude. She will be sorely missed
