Mary Ellen Irwin
Since
1993 when appointed by the Mayor and City Council, Mary Ellen Irwin has served
as a Fire Commissioner for the City of San Rafael assisting with City programs,
obtaining grants and keeping advised of pertinent activities regarding fire
safety in the County. Due in no
 small way to her participation, the Fairhills
neighborhood in which she lives, as well as other areas in the City, are now
more aware of wildfire prevention measures, including dry bush removal, cleanup
and selection of fire-resistant plants for gardens.
In addition, Mary Ellen is a member of the Steering Committee of the
Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods and serves as advisor to the Fairhills
Property Owners Association. Thank you, Mary Ellen for your tremendous service
to the City!
