Falkirk's Learning to Look art education program has been
blessed to have Tricsh Bainer assisting us for the last two
years. She graciously volunteers her time and lively energy to
help students create and understand art in a positive,
supportive environment.
She is totally committed to the students she works with, and
provides critical support to make Learning to Look happen both
in the classroom and in the Falkirk galleries. In addition to
her work with Learning to Look, Tricsh is often on hand at our
public programs and events, working booths, helping set up,
decorate, clean up and make sure people enjoy the event. This
spring she brought a friend to volunteer at the Alice in
Wonderland Spring Faire and created a whole new Mad Hatter craft
activity that parents enjoyed as much as their kids. (see
photo).
Tricsh has also volunteered for numerous other Marin
organizations, including Youth in Arts, Big Brothers/Big
Sisters, One Brick, and the Marin Women's Commission. She also
provides care for people in the community with specific needs --
taking elders to appointments, providing food and clothing to
the homeless and, as she puts it, “helping people gracefully and
peacefully” wherever they are in their journey through life.
Tricsh is an invaluable asset to Falkirk, and one of the reasons
Falkirk thrives is due to its caring and dedicated volunteers.
