Ron Ford
| As an environmentally concerned
citizen, Ron Ford knows it takes only a
small amount of time and commitment to
make a difference. So five years ago, he
bought a “pick-up-stick” and began a
cleanup in his Santa Venetia
neighborhood, starting at Buck’s
Launching on North San Pedro and
extending half-a-mile to China Camp.
Twice a month, Ron takes time from his
busy schedule as Administrative Aide to
Supervisor Susan Adams to pick up trash
in his neighborhood. With his generous
philosophy of volunteering for anything
he has time to do, Ron has also served
as President and Board member of the
Santa Venetia Swim Club, been President
of SEIU Local 535 and served on the
State Board for three years. At present,
he is Chair of Community Services Area
18-Parks of Santa Venetia. |
